Background & Lore: The Goat Man is a well-known urban legend, particularly in Maryland, where it is commonly associated with the infamous Governor’s Goatman Bridge. There has also been sightings but less fierce at the Old Alton Bridge in Texas. Folklore often describes the entity as a violent or territorial cryptid that stalks those who enter its domain, sometimes producing inhuman sounds or attempting to lure individuals deeper into isolated areas. Variations of the legend exist, with some interpretations portraying the Goat Man as a cursed human, a supernatural entity, or an unknown species.
